I Hear You Calling

2017 was a year of sparse and sporadic blog posting.  My inspiration had run dry, and try as I might, I could not come up with a decent blog post..  2018 has started off with a bigger bang than expected, and I’ve now had several reminders of my long forgotten blog.  In all honesty, I was pretty tempted to take my little ol’ blog down.  Yet here I am, giving her another shot.

I’m sure many of my readers have moved on; therefore, it’s likely any potential readers will not know my posting history.  In a nutshell, I’m a 40 something, single, career woman with an anxiety disorder and a passion for wine.  The love of my life is an eleven pound jack russell/Shih Tzu.  It’s been five since my last “long term” love affair, but I’ve had some interesting dating and short term experiences since.

This brings me to my love life focus for 2018.  I had a plan.  A good plan.  I threw out my old rule book, and I developed a dating project.  I wrote out a project outline with a what, when, why, how, and where.  I developed rules and regulations, and I even created a score card.  I had an appendix that allowed for any project deviations, and I had all my work friends review the final product.  The details of this plan will not be shared at this time, but I assure you it was fool proof.  OR so I thought.  Here’s the thing about plans — they don’t always go the way you think they will.

Let me back track for just a minute.  Why you might be asking would someone come up with a dating plan?  Well, the answer is fairly simple.   Albert Einstein said it best: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”  Clearly, I was insane.  I kept dating the same type of man hoping for a different result.  The only solution was to change the way I dated, and the only way to do that was to make a plan.

I’m sure by now you are all thinking to yourself — GENIUS.  But alas, there’s been a small hiccup in my plan.  This, my friends, is where I will leave you hanging.  BOMM BOMM BOMM.  I’m sorry, but a girl doesn’t kiss and tell.  Hahahahaha — OK you got me, that’s not true.  However, this girl isn’t going to– at least not yet.
